Jr. Jacks Win Round One in District Tournament

District tournament at Dumas. Warren's Jr. Jacks opened District tournament play against the Crossett Jr. Eagles. The Jr. Jacks got off on the right foot by controlling the defensive rebounds and not letting Crossett have any second chances. First it was Treylon Burks grabbing the first five rebounds then Javion Robinson started getting in on the act off having good position and controlling the boards, and also doing the scoring as he lead the way with 9 points. Marcus Miller had 7 points along with Grant Barrett and Treylon Burks having 5 apiece. The Jr. Jacks lead by 9 at the half and had to hold off Crossett who would not go away, because they would hit a timely 3 pointer, to keep it close. We could not get our outside shots to fall and had to rely on attacking the basket and layups off the press to add to our score.
The Jr. Jacks are now 10 and 5 on the season, and will play Star City in the semi-finals at 5:45 Monday. If we win, we will play Wednesday at 7pm, in the Championship game.
