The Warren Lumberjacks faced off against the Crossett Eagles in an 8AAAA baseball game Thursday April 2nd at Lumberjack Field. The Jacks entered the game with a 3-3 record, getting a late start to the season due to wet weather. Lumberjack field was in excellent shape for the contest.
Warren jumped out to a early lead but ended up losing by a score of 13-2. Crossett scored 13 earned runs on 12 hits. The Lumberjacks committed 0 errors. Sam Rauls started for the Jacks on the mound and Landon Splawn and Justin Gorman pitched three innings each. Warren mustered three hits including a home run by Sam Rauls.
The Lumberjack defense looked good most of the day but gave up too many hits and failed to get a lot of offense going.
