Update on Lumberjack Soccer

The Lumberjack soccer team traveled to burns park to take on the Dardanelle Sand lizards.  The Lumberjacks started the game with great pace and in control, but the sand lizards struck first with an early free kick, and taking the lead early in the first half with a 1-0 lead.  Then the Lumberjacks would strike back in the first half with 3 unanswered goals.  Scoring was Sophomore Daniel Mondragon, Freshman Javier Tinoco, and Senior Oscar Padilla.  Lumberjacks took the lead into the half at 3-1.  Second half Lumberjacks struggled controlling the tempo and the game, allowing a Dardanelle goal and bringing the score to 3-2.  Lumberjack Defense would stand strong!! Lumberjack senior Oscar Padilla would score another goal off of a penalty kick late in the second half, giving the Jacks a 4-2 victory over the Dardanelle.  Coach Densmore stated that he was very proud of his boys and that his defense played an outstanding game.  Defense players Sergio Yepes, Gadiel Garay, Taylor Barrett, and Victor Xharicata, were a solid wall for us, said Coach Densmore.

LumberJacks travel to Star City Monday (3-7-16) to take on the Bulldogs in the first conference game of the season.

Coach Densmore wants to invite everyone to their first home game on March 15th, when the Lumberjacks take on Lisa Academy in another conference match.  We would love to fill the stand for our Jacks and show them support and they make a strong run to the playoffs this season!
