Warren Baseball Team Falls Victim to Woodlawn

The Warren Lumberjack baseball team took the field against the Woodlawn Bears Friday, March 4. Woodlawn defeated the Jacks, 7-3.  According to Coach Eagle, Warren committed two errors in the first inning that led to two runs.  The Lumberjacks also had a few base-running mistakes that cost them.  Coach Eagle went on to say that he was extremely proud of the way the players competed against one of the better teams in South Arkansas.

Gage Reep was the starting pitcher.  He pitched 3.1 innings, gave up six runs and five hits.  He had one strike out and walked four.

Hayden Lassiter came in in relief and pitched 3.2 innings, giving up one run on two hits.  He struck out four and walked one.  Hayden Lassiter, Cade Reep, and Leighton Curry each had two hits. Hayden had two doubles and three RBI's.  Gage Reep and Don Withers both collected one hit a piece.

Lumberjacks resume action Monday against Stuttgart at 4:30 at home.
