Ladyjack Soccer Team Logs Another Win

The Ladyjack soccer team visited Hermitage Tuesday night in a 4a-4 conference match.  On a breezy, warm evening, the Ladyjacks blitzed the Lady Hermits from the opening whistle and the scoring chances came early and often.  The Ladyjacks were again led by Junior strikers Hannah Richey and Denisha Stallings. as these talented ladies created scoring chance after scoring chance.  Both Richey and Stallings would tally two goals on the evening and they continued their offensive dominance in conference play.  Also scoring two goals was another Junior, Rosa Bautista.  Her two goals were scored off of well placed corner kicks by Freshman sensation Isabel Densmore.  Coach Quoss said, "Isabel has a knack for putting the ball in the right spot for Rosa to put her body on it and produce goals.  These two ladies are extremely dangerous on corner kicks and are only getting better as the season wears on.  I like our chances to score on corners with those two in the game."  Senior Captain Anahi Rostro rounded out the scoring with another goal shortly before the end of the first half.  "Anahi has been a steady player for us for the last four years and you can't beat her experience and leadership on the field," Coach Quoss added.  In what has become customary, the Ladyjack defense was also up to the job in limiting any threat from the Lady Hermits.  Several ladies contributed to the shut out and the Ladyjack defense has yet to allow a goal in any conference game this year.  The final score ended up being 7 to 0.  The Ladyjacks continue their season on Friday, April 8 as they travel to Hot Springs to take on Hot Springs High School, in a challenging non-conference matchup.
