Soccer Team Remains Undefeated, Set to Play Big Games Tuesday

After an impressive 3-2 win over the Hot Springs Trojans last friday, the Lumberjack soccer team traveled to Stuttgart Thursday night to take on the Ricebirds in a conference match-up.  The Lumberjacks started out firing, scoring the first goal in about 5 minutes of the start of the game.  Then the Ricebirds answered back tying the game 1-1.  However, the Jacks weren't done, they got their chemistry going and scored 2 more goals before the half.  Giving the Jacks a 3-1 lead at half.  Second half the Jacks came out controlling the game, with good ball movement and good runs, the jacks were able to offset the Ricebird speed.  The Jacks won the game 7-2.  Keeping the Jacks undefeated in conference and 10-1 overall.  Scoring for the Lumberjacks was Daniel Mondragon, Oscar Padilla, Javier Tinoco, and Taylor Barrett.  "We came out a little slow and sluggish, we need work hard to keep our tempo up, Once we settled in, the boys did a great job.  Defense did an awesome job of controlling the back half of the field.  We will continue to work hard and push forward!" said Coach Densmore.  Coach Densmore would like to invite everyone to come out on Tuesday night and Friday night to watch these guys play! They are doing a great job and will have 2 BIG games those nights.   Come out and show your support!! Girls play at 5pm and Boys at 7pm!!!
