Warren Baseball Loses Close One

Gage Reep pitches for the Jacks.
The Warren Lumberjack baseball team played the Monticello Billies Friday afternoon at home.  The Jacks led much of the game but came up short, 6-5.  Coach Bryan Eagle commented, "It was a great high school baseball game that hurt all of us very much to lose."

Gage Reep threw a great game going six innings only giving up two earned runs.  Hayden Lassiter had two hits and two RBI's.

"These are the types of games that we will close out when we get a few more games under our belt," says Coach Eagle.  He went on to say that he was very proud of how far the Jacks have progressed this season.  Warren needs to win several games next week to have an opportunity to make the State Regional Tournament.

This team is very young with no seniors and only one junior (Lassiter).  The team is made up of mostly sophomores and freshmen.
