Warren Drops Two Games To Top 8AAAA Opponents

The Warren Lumberjack Baseball Team played Star City on Monday April, 25th and then faced Crossett the top rated team in class 4A on Tuesday April, 26th.  The Lumberjacks lost both contest.

Star City defeated the Jacks 14-6.  Warren hit well but had trouble stopping the Star City offense.  The Lumberjacks collected 11 hits and chased Star City's division I pitcher from the game. Treylon Burks, Cade Reep, Luke Gorman and Don Withers had two hits each.  Withers hit a home run.  Gage Reep, Leighton Curry and Braden Curry had one hit each.  Warren's pitching struggled and is suffering form lack of depth.

On Tuesday the 26th, Warren fell to Crossett15-0.  Warren had difficulty at the plate and made several errors.  Crossett clinched the 8AAAA conference title and is 13-1 in the conference.

The Jacks are scheduled to play DeWitt on Thursday the 28th and Hamburg on Friday the 29th.  This team has played hard and has improved during the year.  There is one Junior and zero Seniors on the squad.  The rest of the players are 9th and10th graders.  Good crowds have been attending the games.
