WALK ACROSS ARKANSAS End Season

Walk Across Arkansas ended its season with a total of 160,515 minutes walked.  This total is more than triple the amount walked in 2015.  Out of those minutes, the Traveling Tomatoes team placed first with a total of 45,114 minutes. The other teams and their results are listed below: Bradley County Historical Museum – 20,629; GFWC Warren Womans Club – 15,518; High Steppers – 43,751; Red Hot Chili Steppers – 14,855; and Warren Bank – 20,648.  The estimated miles walked totaled 8,026 and the average health care savings for Bradley County totaled $16,052.00.  The following are the team members from the winning team, Traveling Tomatoes:  Patricia Wilkinson, Randy Hollis, Robin Hollis, Michelle Carter, Amber Spears, Patty Romero, Karen Rawls, and Randy Rawls.  Not pictured are Jane Weier and Wanda Carr.  First place overall walker was Linda Gardner with 12,646 minutes, and second place walker was Randy Hollis with 11,659 minutes.

The Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service offers its programs to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, marital, veteran, or any other legally protected status.  Persons with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of program information (large print, audio tapes, etc.) should notify the county Extension office as soon as possible prior to the activity.
