Yolanda Washington Hampton was unable to be present back in May when she was inducted into the Warren Lumberjack Sports Hall of Fame as one the greatest track stars in Lumberjack history.
On Wednesday, June, 29th she and her family stopped by the offices of Raptor Productions and picked up her plaque.  With her was her husband, another Lumberjack great, former Lumberjack coach and Hall of Fame member, Alonzo Hampton and her two sons, A. J. Hampton and Ashton Hampton.  They spent some time visiting with Gregg Reep and Doug Spencer.  Mr. Spencer assisted as a volunteer track coach during Mrs. Hampton's high school career.

The family lives in Tampa, Florida, where Alonza is secondary coach for the University of South Florida.  A. J. is a high school junior to be and has been offered a scholarship by the University of Nebraska.  He plays defensive back and other skilled positions.  He has not made any decision on his college future.  Ashton is the younger son and also has ability.

Yolanda talked about her classmates and coaches and the wonderful experience she had in high school.  According to Doug Spencer, Yolanda still holds eight Warren High School track records. She expressed appreciation for being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
