Maddox Lassiter Awarded First Annual Don Hollingsworth Sportsmanship Award

On Thursday evening, October 27, 2016, the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA awarded the first annual

Don Hollingsworth Sportsmanship Award.  This award is presented to the sixth grade player who exhibits true sportsmanship on and off the field.  The focus is not only on an athlete’s abilities and skills, but equally considered on character.  Over the years of his service to the YMCA, Donald Hollingsworth sought to not only develop a player’s fundamental love for football but to be a team player who modeled character and integrity.  This year, the Don Hollingsworth Sportsmanship Award was presented to Maddox Lassiter. Maddox is the son of Shannon and Heidi Lassiter.
