Coach Michael Milum's Warren Lumberjack Baseball Club defeated the McGehee Owls Tuesday evening in Warren by the score of 15-3 in 5 innings.
Gage Reep started on the mound for the Lumberjacks. He pitched 3 and 1/3 innings. Kendall Pope came in in relief.
The Lumberjacks got on the board early in the bottom of first with an 1-0 lead, but the bats really broke open in the second and third innings for Warren as they scored 6 runs in each, leading to a 13-2 lead after three. McGehee would only add 1 run in the fourth. In the bottom of the inning the Lumberjacks picked up a couple of insurance runs which led to the final score of 15-3. Warren is now 1-4 on the season, and has yet to play a conference game.
Treylon Burks and Gage Reep each went 3 for 3 at the plate on the night, and Hayden Lassiter went 2 for two. Reep was named the salineriverchronicle.com Player of the Game.
Lassiter led the Lumberjacks in scoring with 3 runs, and Burks led in RBI’s, with 4.
The Lumberjacks are scheduled to play Parkers Chapel this Saturday at 1pm in Warren.
