Coach Jae Kell Interviews with salineriverchronicle.com

Coach Jae Kell speaks about her tean,
Girl'ss Basketball Coach Jae Kell recently stopped by the studios of salineriverchronicle.com and talked about the girls basketball program for 2017-2018.  She discussed both the Jr. High and Sr. High.

The Jr. High team consist of 19 girls and the team is currently 1-0.  The Sr. Girls are 3-2 as a result of beating Lake Village Thursday night, November 30th by the score of 59-19.  The senior team consist of 14 players.  There are three seniors, three juniors, seven sophmores and one freshman.  Coach Kell mentioned Corinne Ridgell, Shakeria Stovall and Faith Jackson as players to watch.

Under the rules of the the Arkansas Activities Association, the Lumberjacks will play 84A conference members Monticello, Hamburg and Crossett twice each and will be seeded according to their record for the district tournament.  The other half of the conference will do likewise, consisting of DeWitt, Dumas, Star City and Dollarway.

The girls play an uptempo fast paced game and appear to have some talent and are fun to watch.  Come out a see them compete.
