Warren/Monticello Face Off In Basketball

The Warren Lumberjack Jr. Girls and Jr. Boys and Sr. Girls and Sr. Boys basketball teams faced off against the girls and boys teams from Monticello Tuesday, January 23rd in Monticello.  There was a good crowd on hand cheering both sides in this 8AAAA contest.

The Warren Jr. Girls lost on a last second shot 30-29.  The Jr. Boys came up short 49-30. 

The Lady Jacks fell behind but fought back and won 65-62 despite losing one of their outstanding  players to injury.  Early in the game Warren's Corrine Ridgell took a hard fall and appeared to hurt her leg or knee.  She was unable to come back and play.  There is no report on her condition.  The girls fought hard and won a very important victory.

The Sr. Boys and Monticello played a close contest with the Lumberjacks falling short 60-57.  the Jacks jumped out front but the game settled back and forth battle.  Poor free throw shooting by Warren proved to be the difference.

The Warren teams will go against Hamburg Thursday, January 25th at home.  The first game is set for 4:00 P.M.  This is a conference game.
