Lumberjack Wallace Smith Signs With UAM

Warren's Wallace Smith, an All-State defensive lineman has signed a scholarship letter to play football for the UAM Boll Weevils.  Smith is a 6' 3" 295 pound defensive lineman who enjoyed an outstanding career with the Lumberjacks, playing a major role in helping the Jacks win three consecutive conference titles and high finishes in class AAAA, including a state championship in 2016 and runnerup in 2017.  In 2015 Warren got to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. 

According to information made available, Smith made some 77 tackles during the regular 2017 season and with the playoffs included, tallied nearly a hundred.  He was known for making big plays during games and was virtually unstoppable  most of the time.  He played at a very high level.

Smith plans to attend UAM and major in Forestry or seek to become a Game & Fish Officer.  He is looking forward to attending and playing football at UAM.
