Miracle League Cuts The Ribbon

The Ribbon Cutting of the Miracle League Field

The Bulldogs Celebrated the Opening with an airshow.
A large crowd gathered at the Monticello Sports Complex, Saturday morning around 10:00 A.M. to officially open the Miracle League baseball field for handicapped youth.  According to the organizers, the idea began in September of 2014 and has been supported by all the counties of Southeast Arkansas.  It was mentioned that organizations from Warren, such as the Lions Club, contributed to the project.  Grants and private donations were secured to raise the $600,000.00 needed to build the field.
Prior to the ribbon cutting the crowd was thrilled by an air show and dedication remarks were made by Monticello Mayor David Anderson.  The Mayor told the audience that all the engineering work was provided at no cost by ETC Engineers of Little Rock.

Warren residents were present and games were played on the field.
