Two Warren Lumberjacks are looking to make an impact on what could be a Sun Belt Title contending Arkansas State Red Wolf squad this season.

Redshirt Junior Darveon Brown, former Lumberjack WR from the WHS Class of 2015, has been mostly a special teams player and reserve slot receiver his first two seasons, but looks to be one of the top two at his position this year. A-State head football coach Blake Anderson said, “We expect Darveon to help fill some of the void from the guys in the slot and our tight end Black Mack had last year. We’re counting on him to step up and we expect him to make some plays.”

Jhamahl Bell is working to fight back from a spring injury, but is hopeful to have an impact this fall for the Red Wolves.
Jhamahl Bell, a member of the WHS Class of 2014 and a red shirt senior at Arkansas State, was out all of spring football with an injury and is hoping to be fully healthy for fall camp. Jhamahl has been on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and recently participated in the A-State student-athlete study abroad program that spent a few weeks in Barcelona, Spain.
