MONTICELLO, AR — Kevin Price, senior associate athletics director for external operations at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, S.D., has been named director of athletics at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

"I am pleased that Kevin Price has agreed to take a leadership role in our program of intercollegiate athletics," said UAM Chancellor Karla Hughes. "He possesses the combination of experience in both athletic fund raising and the day to day operation of a university athletic department that we felt were critical for this position. I look forward to his leadership as we strive to build a successful program for our student-athletes, our fans and alumni."

In addition to directing the external operations at SDSM&T, Price was also executive director of the Hardrock Club, the school's private athletic fund-raising organization.           "This is a wonderful opportunity and I am excited to be a part of Boll Weevil and Cotton Blossoms athletics," said Price. "UAM has a rich tradition in intercollegiate athletics and I am privileged to be a part of that tradition as we move forward."
