At Dumas, Thursday night, Warren's Jr. Jacks played Hamburg Jr. Lions, for the 8-4A Junior Tournament Championship. Warren was the Home team due to being the higher seed in the tournament bracket. Hamburg got off to a good start in the first quarter, as they opened up with a 13 to 7, lead. Warren came storming back, in the second outscoring the Lions 14 to 4 for a half time score of Warren 21 , Hamburg 17. Warren held on to the lead, in the third by edging Hamburg 8 to 7, for a third quarter score of 29 to 24, heading in to the final period of the season. But the young Jacks couldn't hang on to the lead, as they just couldn't find ways to get the ball to fall, as hamburg outscored Warren 14 to 5 , for the final score of Hamburg 38 Warren 34. 8th graders, Marcus Miller, and Javion Robinson lead all scorers with 12 and 11 points , as the Warren Jr Jacks bring home the runner trophy. Eleven , 8th graders and one 7th grader, will return next year , off of this years squad.
