This past weekend, the South Arkansas Slammerz played through a tough field of fourteen teams, and won the girls fast pitch softball tournament held in Bryant, Arkansas and sponsored by Extra Innings from Little Rock.  The tournament was hosted by Arkansas Adrenaline.

The Slammerz took the gold in spite of losing their 1st game Friday, and having to play 8 back to back games Saturday to finally face undefeated Wildfire from Nashville, Arkansas  in the championship series late Saturday night.  Wildfire was undefeated, so the Slammerz, with one loss, had to beat them twice to win it, and that's just what they did.

The SA Slammerz Organization consists of two teams... a 12U & 10U team.  Both teams played in the Bryant tournament this weekend.  The 10U team finished 5th in a field of fifteen, and the 12U team took 1st in a field of fourteen.

Coaches for the 10U Slammerz are Jake and Stefani Monden and Jamie Preston.   12U Coaches are Joe Bates, Scott Pullin, and Charles Robinson.  Players are  from numerous locations across South Arkansas, including Mt Holly, Smackover, Camden, Lake Village, El Dorado, Parkers Chapel, Hermitage, and Norphlet.

This is the 2nd tournament this spring for the Slammerz who took 5th in their 1st outing in a tournament at Kilgore, Texas.
