Ladyjack Soccer Teams Jumps Out to Early Lead

The Ladyjacks took on the Lady Bulldogs of White Hall on Friday night in a road non-conference match.  The Ladyjacks had the upper hand from the beginning and jumped out to an early lead when Hannah Richey outran the Bulldog defense and beat the goalkeeper with a good, low hard shot.  Richey would strike again minutes later with an almost identical goal.  Coach Steven Quoss said, "Hannah is always hustling and gives her all every minute she is out there.  She has a knack for being in the right place to make plays for us.  A few minutes before half, the Ladyjacks would add to their lead with a perfectly executed corner kick.  Isabel Densmore sent in a perfect, head high cross into the penalty box where Rosa Bautista was waiting.  In what had to have been one of the prettiest goals of the season, Rosa headed the cross easily into the goal.  "What can I say, there are not that many girls in our league that can make a shot like that.  Rosa has always done an excellent job for us and I'm proud to see all her hard work pay off," coach Quoss added.  The Ladyjack defense also had another solid night fending off repeated bulldog attacks in the second half.  The Lady Bulldogs came out with renewed energy in the second half and challenged the Ladyjack defense several times, but the Warren defense lead by Taylor Domineck, Nicole Tinoco, Anne Yepes, captain Abby Torres, and Mackenzie Selby refused to allow White Hall back in the game.  The Ladyjack team is off during the week of spring break but will be hosting their next game against Malvern on March 29 at 5 pm.  Come out and see these entertaining group of soccer players as they continue their successful season!
