Ladyjack Soccer Team Remains Undefeated: Need Fan Support Tuesday

The Ladyjack soccer team continued its winning ways with an impressive 7 to 1 conference victory over the Stuttgart Lady Ricebirds Thursday night.  The ladies scored their first goal off a penalty kick attempt by Freshmen Isabel Densmore.  Minutes later, Junior phenom Hannah Richey scored the first of her three goals of the night by outrunning the Stuttgart defense and beating the goalie with a shot to the corner.  "Hannah really had a breakout game tonight.  Her aggression and unselfish play is truly remarkable," said coach Steven Quoss.  Another dominant offensive threat, Denisha Stallings, would also add to her season total as she too outran the defense and beat the goalie one on one.  "Denisha is blessed with such athleticism and has been a terror on opposing teams all year.  Warren is truly lucky to have both Denisha and Hannah leading the attack." added coach Quoss.

The second half saw more of the same offensive dominance from the Ladyjacks.  Seniors Kimmi Aguilar and Carlyle Mitchell tallied two more goals to push the final score to 7 to 1.  Kimmi took a perfect cross and placed a beautiful shot in the top corner of the goal within minutes of the opening kickoff.  Carlye showed off her quickness and speed by slicing through the Stuttgart defense and beating the keeper with another shot to the corner.  "It's always great to see seniors that work so hard get rewarded by scoring in an important game," remarked coach Quoss.

Other notable performances were turned in again by the Ladyjack defense.  Sophomore Nicole Tinoco played lights out as center defense and senior Taylor Domineck helped limited Stuttgart to just a handful of shots.  Anne Yepes did a fantastic job all night as well, dominating the center of the field.

The Ladyjacks and coach Quoss invite you to come to the next home game, Tuesday April 19 as they face Episcopal Collegiate at 5 pm.
