Lumberjack Soccer Club Defeats Jacksonville Lighthouse

The Warren Lumberjack Soccer Club defeated the Jacksonville Lighthouse Wolves in an early spring non-conference game by the score of 3-1 Tuesday at Jim Hurley, Jr. Stadium in Warren, Arkansas.

The first half was gritty, as a tough Jacksonville Lighthouse team put up a strong and convincing defense.  Warren did find an early breakthrough goal from the able foot of Javier Tinoco, who has been in excellent form as of late.  Tinoco found himself clear with only the goalie to beat on a breakaway.  After skipping past the keeper, the Sophomore Lumberjack striker calmly tapped home the opening goal into an open net.

After the halftime break, the Lumberjacks were able to pick up two more goals, although Jacksonville Lighthouse pulled one back before the final whistle.  Warren won by the score of 3-1.

Coach Rusty Densmore's Jacks are now 2-1 overall this season.
