Football recruiters from the University of Arkansas, Auburn University and the University of Memphis were present Thursday night during the Warren/Hamburg basketball game.  They were on hand to watch and recruit Lumberjack Treylon Burks. Arkansas had three coaches at the game while Auburn and Memphis had one each.

Salineriverchronicle.com got the opportunity to visit briefly with Arkansas assistance Barry Lunney, Jr. and Auburn assistant Tim Horton.  Both indicted they enjoyed being in Warren and of course have a strong interest in recruiting Treylon Burks to their school.  They spent time in the stands talking with Warren Head Football Coach Bo Hembree and Superintendent of Schools, Bryan Cornish, himself a former Razorback player.  Before the game ended, Joe Lee Wright, father of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver and former Razorback and Lumberjack great Jarius Wright, came by to say hello.

Often college football recruiters visit basketball games to watch football recruits play.  We remember Tennessee a number of years ago attending games to watch Bret Smith and Roshaun Fellows.  Over the years many Lumberjacks have been visited by Division I and Division II recruiters.

The coaches drew a lot of attention after the game, with fans wanting to say hello or get a picture.
