Chris Gragg Conducts Gridiron Grind

Former Lumberjack, former Razorback and current New York Jets tight end Chris Gragg hosted his "Gridiron Grind" football camp Saturday, June 16th at Jim Hurley, Jr. Stadium in Warren.  A "Lil Divas Cheer Camp" was also held in the indoor workout facility.

On hand to assist with working with the young athletes were former Razorback Brandon Barnett, former Lumberjack and ASU Red Wolf Jalen Marshall, former Lumberjack and Arkansas Tech Wonder Boy Terrez Hampton along with Jakoty Thomas, Rico Merriweather, Jr., Kolby McNeal and Blake Conner of UAPB.  Seventy two young men and 12 young ladies took part in the camp.

Among the helpers for the cheer camp were: AlliBeth King of Rison, Addison Rinehart of Rison, Brandey Buggs of Dumas, Marshayla Haltiwanger of Warren, Reed Woodard of Warren and former Lumberjack and UAPB Cheerleader Morgan Gathen.

The boys were put through a series of drills to help teach them the game of football and the girls were given cheerleading instructions.  Life lessons were also taught during the time spent with the young people.  Proceeds from the camp will be donated to the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA of Warren and Bradley County.

Chris Gragg was an outstanding student athlete for the Warren Lumberjacks and the Arkansas Razorbacks.  He went on to play for the Buffalo Bills for several seasons and is now a member of the New York Jets.  He always gives back to Warren and the Lumberjack program.
