2012 FOOTBALL GAMEDAY POLICY UPDATE

With the 2012 football season 10 days away, the University of Arkansas Department of Athletics released some game day changes Wednesday.
Changes include no pedestrian access behind the South end of the stadium, a new bag policy, improvements to in-stadium concessions, E-Tickets, the addition of Victory Village and the enhancement of the game day experience as fans will now have access to the “Holding Pen” pavilion in The Gardens.
Due to construction of the new football facility, no longer is pedestrian access afforded via the East/West thruway directly behind the stadium. As a proactive safety measure, bags will not be permitted except those necessary for medical conditions, childcare and purses no larger than 14” long x 10” wide x 10” deep. This policy reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to fan safety and stadium security recommendations from the Department of Homeland Security.

The 2012 season features the debut of E-Tickets and Victory Village in Fayetteville. E-Tickets is a customer friendly, interactive digital ticketing solution that allows fans to print single-game tickets at home and season ticket holders to transfer tickets for games. The feature also will allow ticket scanning at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium to improve security and service and help identify counterfeit and stolen tickets. Victory Village is a reserved tailgating area near Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium coordinated by Intents Party Rentals to provide fans a convenient, worry-free tailgate experience close to the stadium.
As part of the AT&T Fan Zone, fans will now have access to the large “Holding Pen” pavilion in The Gardens on game day. The pavilion will provide seating and several large televisions for fans to watch other college games before the Razorbacks take the field. In addition, more kids games and activities will be available in the AT&T Fan Zone which is free to the public.
Continued stadium improvements will now include the ability for Sodexo to now accept credit card payment at all permanent concession stands throughout the stadium. Fans may use their Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diner’s Club, and JCB credit cards.  Debit cards are also accepted provided they are set up to scan as a credit card transaction that does not require a P.I.N. code.
The full fan guide can be found at ArkansasRazorbacks.com. The fan guide includes helpful information including traffic flow patterns, parking and tailgating policies.
The Razorbacks begin their season Sept. 1 by hosting Jacksonville State inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium at 6 p.m. The game is available on a pay-per-view basis in high definition where available, and fans should contact their local cable or satellite provider for more information. Fans can also purchase the pay-per-view broadcast in HD on ArkansasRazorbacks.com through RazorVision.

NO PEDESTRIAN ACCESS TO STADIUM ON GAME DAY:
Starting with the first game on Sept. 1 please be aware with construction of the New Football Center, pedestrian access is no longer available in the area directly south of the stadium.  As part of the construction, the driveway off Razorback Road was eliminated and no longer affords pedestrian access to either the East or West sides of the stadium via the East/West thruway directly behind the stadium.  Additionally, any pedestrians traditionally using Barnhill Drive will now be re-directed to Stadium Drive or Razorback Rd to access the east or west side of the stadium.

BAG POLICY:
This policy reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to recommendations from Department of Homeland Security. Except for bags required for child care or medical conditions, all bags, back packs, fanny packs, camera and binocular cases or other similar items and purses larger than 14” long (side-to-side) x 10” wide (front to back) x 10” deep (top to bottom)  are prohibited.  All purses allowed into the stadium will be searched.  Containers measuring 14” long x 10” wide x 10” deep will be placed at each entry to Donald W.  Reynolds Razorback Stadium, shuttle pick up locations and selected parking lots.  Purses that do not fit into the container will not be permitted inside the stadium.

E-TICKETS:
Razorback E-Tickets, a customer friendly interactive digital ticketing solution, has been implemented for the 2012 University of Arkansas football season. With the change to digital ticket scanning, Razorback football fans will benefit from the heightened protection against counterfeit tickets and can take advantage of new digital ticketing services including print-at-home single game tickets and ticket transfers for season ticket holders. Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, like many other college and professional venues, will scan all tickets using a bar-code on each ticket to verify admission. Scanning will identify counterfeit and/or stolen tickets and provide improved security and service. Help windows will be located at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium at Gates 1, 13 and 16 to help fans with any ticket scanning issues or to answer questions regarding the new technology. It is recommended that fans plan on arriving earlier than normal to avoid any delays in entering the stadium in the initial implementation of the new digital ticketing system.
