Lumberjacks Complete 2015 Baseball Season

The Warren Lumberjack's 2015 baseball season has come to a conclusion.  The team was much improved over the past couple of years and looks to be on the rise again.  They finished the year 11-11 and 7-7 in conference.  The team missed the regional tournament by one game.

Sam Rauls enjoyed a fine senior season pitching by striking out 50 batters in 35 innings.  Justin Gorman likewise had a good year pitching with an ERA of 4.5.  Justin's battimg average was .443 with 33 RBI's.  The 33 RBI's set a school record eclipsing the old record of 32 set by the great Matt Pace.  Justin also hit for the cycle once during the year.

Shortstop Haydon Lassiter batted .381 and was 24 out of 24 in stolen bases.  Haydon is considered one of the best infielders in the state and will be a Junior next year.

The team hit .270 and as a team stole 56 bases out of 57 attempts.  The Jacks were very competitive in Conference 8AAAA losing three games by one run or in extra  innings.  Coach Brian Eagle believes the team will be even more competitive in the future.
