Football Round 1 Playoffs

Friday night, November 15th the Warren Lumberjacks will face Elkins in the first round of the 2019 Arkansas state football playoffs.  The game is set for a 7:00 PM kick off at Jim Hurley, Jr. Stadium.  The Lumberjacks as the #2 seed out of conference 84A will do battle with the Elkins of conference 44A.  Conference  44A consist of Ozark, Dardanelle, Mena, Pottsville, Waldron, Dover and Subiaco Academy in addition to Elkins.

The weather forecast is cool but not like it has been earlier in the week.  The Lumberjacks hope to have a large and loud crowd on hand to support this 9-1 team.  Warren has been in the playoffs for in excess of 20 years in a row.  The 2019 team has a mixture of seniors and youth and have continued to get better throughout the season.  They are fun to watch and continue to bring a lot of attention to our community.

The Warren Youth Lumberjacks, grades 5 and 6 finished second in a statewide competition this past weekend in Little Rock.  The team is coached by Roshaun Fellows.  They completed an outstanding season in the Southeast Arkansas League.  The team along with a 3rd and 4th grade team compete through the Donald w. Reynolds YMCA of Warren and Bradley County.
