Warren Jr. Football teams sweep Crossett

SPECIAL JR. JACK COVERAGE

The Warren Jr. Jacks and the Crossett Jr. Eagles faced each other Thursday night at Jim Hurley, Jr. Stadium.  The Jr. Jacks won 34-16 after leading 28-0 at half.  Warren played a lot of reserves in the second half and Crossett picked up their play.

Prior to the Jr. High game, the two schools' 7th Grade teams competed against each other and Warren won 16-6.

The Warren Jr. Jack team is now 2-1 with its loss coming against a very talented Class 7A Bryant team.  In the game against Crossett a number of players flashed talent and played well on offense, defense and special teams.  Among those providing outstanding performances were quarterback and defensive end Antonio Jordan, kicker and defensive player Eli Densmore, Jordan Green, JD Tillman, Neeyo Harding, Seth Pennington, Casey Barnes, Cody Weatherspoon and others.  A number of lineman played outstandingly.  Included were Gauge Weaver, Irvan Rivera and several more.  In fact the entire team played hard and appeared to be getting better.  Steed White is Head Jr. High Coach.
