Hermits Played Strong on the Road

The Hermitage offence was scoreless in the first quarter, but the Bulldogs put up 8 to end the quarter. In the second quarter, junior Cody Vines put the first points on the board with a quarterback sneak, but was unsuccessful for the two point conversion.

The bulldogs answered the Hermits with their second touchdown ending the half at 16-6.

Starting the third quarter, the bulldogs drove down the field and scored once more. The Hermits came back out, and senior Kentrez Davis gave the Hermits their second score off another quarterback sneak.

The third quarter ended with another score by the Bulldogs, leaving the score 30-14.

The Hermits came right back in the fourth with a pass from Davis to senior Nick Marshall. The Bulldogs scored two more touchdowns, and the Hermits were defeated 48-22.

The Hermit defense faced a very talented rushing attack from the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs had 308 yards on the ground and 76 in the air. Senior Bradly Day lead the Hermits with 12 solo tackles and 6 assisted tackles. But junior Justin Duhon made a few big plays for the Hermits with 2 sacks and a forced a fumble that was recovered by the Hermits. The Hermits had 9 tackles for loss, but penalties hurt the Hermits having 9 in total.
