The Hermitage Hermits were defeated in over-time 20-14 versus the Woodlawn Bears.

The Hermits started the game with the ball to start the game and went three and out. The Bears marched down the field and scored on a 2 yard rush and were successful going for two making the score 8-0 4 minutes into the game. The Hermits were stopped and the bears scored again to end the first quarter 14-0.

The second quarter was scoreless for both teams were the Defense stood strong.

The third quarter was ticking down. The Hermits blocked a punt, and on the next play Sophomore Kevin Childs Broke many tackles for a 19 yard rushing touchdown to give the Hermits their first score. Ending the third with the score 14-6.

The fourth quarter started with the Hermits defense making the Bears punt twice. The Hermits finally get the offence going when Childs breaks out an un-touched 41 yard rushing touchdown and Sophomore Monta Thomas gave the Hermits a tie ballgame with the extra point. The Hermits held up as the clock ran out, and the game was sent into over-time.

In over-time both teams got the ball on their own 10 yard line, the Bears got to try first and on 4th down they ran it in for a touchdown but the two point conversion was picked off by Junior Jeremiah Belin. The Hermits gained 2 yards on their first play then gained 3 yards to make it 3rd and 5. The next play was a quarterback draw but was stopped at the line. On the final play the hermits ran a wide receiver sweep and it didn't end well as the hermits were heart broken at home.
