Jr. Boys Defeat Star City Bullpups

The Warren Jr. Boys hung on to win 36 to 32 against the Bullpups, as Grant Barrett and Javion Robinson lead the way with 12 points each. Treylon Burks and  Marcus Miller took care of the rebounding. Treylon did a really good job of getting offside position and limiting second chance putback by Star City's, big men.
This group is mostly 8th graders, and so we are learning valuable lessons that should help as later on in the season. Lesson last night was how to protect a lead! The halftime score was 25 to 11 in our favor. 31 to 19 at the end of the third quarter, then Star City started to pack in their zone and we were too impatient and started to shoot unforced shots. As we let them back into the game, and made it closer than it had to be. Congrats to the boys for getting the job done. We are now 2 & 1 in conference play.
