The final home game for the Lady Jacks was won in overtime on a rebound and put back by Dixie Puterbaugh after a relentless pursuit of the DeWitt Lady Dragons. Senior Markeia Thomas took what she thought was the last shot in overtime, Dixie Puterbaugh found herself all alone under the basket, in the right place at the right time, secured the offensive rebound and put the ball back in the basket.
Seniors Tiayana Davis, Samantha Marshall, Jamia Thomas, Markeia Thomas and Dixie Puterbaugh got the Lady Jacks out to a fast and furious start, ending the first half with a 23-11 lead. Dewitt came back in the second half and outscored the Lady Jacks 23-35 to end regulation play tied at 46-46. The Lady Jacks out scored the Lady Dragons 9-7 in overtime to secure the win on senior night.
