Goforth and Mullen Selected to All-GAC Teams


BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma - University of Arkansas at Monticello junior women's basketball players Jordan Goforth and Nikki Mullen have been selected to the 2014-15 All-Great American Conference teams, announced Wednesday evening at GAC Championship Tournament Welcome Banquet in downtown Bartlesville.

Goforth is one of six players to earn All-GAC First Team honors this year, while Mullen was voted to the honorable mention team. It is the first all-conference selection for either. However, Goforth was the GAC 's freshman of the year in 2012-13. She becomes UAM's first all-conference first team honoree since the 2008-09 season.

Goforth finished the regular season ranked fifth in the GAC in scoring with a total of 429 points and an average of 17.9 per game. She leads the league and ranks sixth in the nation with a .913 free throw percentage.


Throughout the 2014-15 season, the Plano, Texas native totaled 19 games with at least 10 points and 12 games with least 20 points. She tied her career-high with 31 points in a loss to Northwestern Oklahoma State on February 21.

Earlier in the season, Goforth became the 18th member of UAM's 1,000-point club and currently sits at No. 14 all-time with 1,214 career points.

Mullen enters the GAC tournament ranked second on the team behind Goforth and 19th in the GAC in scoring at 11.2 points per game. She also ranks in the top in the GAC in steals, three-point percentage, three-pointers made and minutes played.

The Green Forest, Arkansas native put together 14 games with at least 10 points this year and four games with at least 20 points, including her career-high of 25 points in a loss to East Central on February 7.
