Warren Swimmers Compete at the Arkansas Short-course State Championship



On March 13-15, four Warren swimmers competed with their team, the Central Arkansas Swim Club (CASC Racers) at the Arkansas Short-course State Championship swim meet held at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. The swimmers included Cameron Cobb, Kinley Files, Josh McClain and Jovankah Rodriguez. These swimmers competed from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening in up to 7 individual events and 2 relays. Prelims were held both Saturday and Sunday mornings and by finishing in the top 8, they qualified to re-swim the events at the finals held in the evenings on both days.

Joshua McClain was among these swimmers finishing all of his events in Top 4 and Top 8:
1st Place 200 Medley Relay, 2nd Place 200 Free Relay, 3rd Place 100 Fly, 4th Place 200 IM, 4th Place 50 Free, 4th Place 100 Back, 6th Place 500 Free, 7th Place 200 Free, and 8th Place 200 Back. Josh's combined placements ranked him 5th in the State for 11-12 Boys.

Thanks to the individual efforts of Warren's four swimmers combined the rest of the team, the Racers finished with the highest placement ever at the State competition! All swimmers did an awesome job but we should be super-proud of the swimmers who represented Warren with pride! Way to go guys!!
