Pee Wee Tackle Football Jamboree Held at Warren

The Donald W. Reynolds YMCA of Warren & Bradley County hosted the Pee-Wee Tackle Football Jamboree last Saturday at Jim Hurley Stadium.  There were teams in attendance from Warren, Lake Village, Crossett, Monticello, Hamburg, Drew Central, McGehee, & Hermitage.  Both Warren teams played against Hermitage with the 3rd & 4th graders coming out with a loss and the 5th & 6th graders pulling out ahead with a win.  The Pee-Wee Tackle Football Jamboree is one of the biggest fundraisers for the YMCA each year.  We were fortunate to have excellent support from the community and several volunteers.  Many parents and grandparents of the players and cheerleaders helped with the concession stand, gate, and taking shout-outs.  We are always grateful for the people who are willing to give a little bit of their time to help our community thrive.  With the help of about 25 volunteers, our 2016 Pee-Wee Tackle Football Jamboree was a success.  We want to say a special “thank you” to Memory Frazer for allowing interns from UAM to complete hours with the YMCA. Also, “thank you” to all of the parents that were able to put in time to help where needed. Volunteers don’t always have the time, but they have the heart, and for that, we are forever grateful.
