Lumberjacks Take Down Hamburg Lions

The Lumberjack Jr. and Sr. Girls and Jr. and Sr. Boys traveled to Hamburg on a wet and cold night, February 6th to batle the Hamburg Lions in  conference 8AAAA games.  The Jr. Girls fell short 33-30 in overtime while the Jr. Boys won 40-31.

Warren's Sr. Girls beat Hamburg 63-45 and the Sr. Boys won 67-47, despite the absence of Warren starter and outstanding player Javion Robinson, who was out due to sickness.  Warren starters Vincent Stepps, Cobe Muldrew, Marcus Miller, Treylon Burks and T. J. Phillips, starting in place of Robinson, played well.  Tre Buford came off the bench and was outstanding along with Avery Rhoden, who gave quality minutes to the team effort.

It appeared most of the boys team got to play some prior to conclusion of the contest.  The Sr. Girls also had a starter out but played very well with pressure defense to put Hamburg away.  For the girls Ty Stepps had 12 points, Jamie Stallings had 12 and Shakeria Stovall had 18.
