According to University of Arkansas at Monticello Head Football Coach Hud Jackson, the Weevils signed over 40 players for the class of 2018. This includes high school seniors and mid-year transfers. Of the high school players signed, 15 were from Arkansas, 15 from louisiana, 10 from Texas and 3 from Mississippi. Eighteen are offensive recruits, 22 play defense, 2 are special teams players and 1 is considered an athlete, which means he might play any where.
Several young men from Southeast Arkansas are included among the new recruits.

Coach Jackson stated that Spring Practice begins March 12th and the Spring game will be held April 12th beginning at 6;30 P.M.
