"Sharpe Shooter" Basketball Camp Slated for June 3-6


MONTICELLO — University of Arkansas at Monticello men’s basketball coach Allen Sharpe is set to host the annual “Sharpe Shooter” Basketball Camp June 3-6, 2013 at Steelman Field House.

The camp is designed for boys and girls in grades K-9 and will feature two sessions. The morning session (Individual Skills Camp) will go from 9 a.m.-noon each day with the “Sharpe Shooter” Camp to follow each day from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

The Individual Skills camp is designed to help each camper in all phases of the game, including footwork, defensive technique, ball handling, passing and receiving and game competition. The “Sharpe Shooter” camp is dedicated to fundamental techniques of shooting, off-season & in-season shooting workouts and teaching campers to be a “Sharpe Shooter” from all spots on the floor.

Campers will receive a camp T-shirt, handouts and prizes for contest winners. Camp cost is $55 for each session or a discounted rate of $100 for both sessions. There is also a sibling discount for those attending both sessions for $80 per sibling.
