The First Annual Tour de Tomato Bike Ride turned out to be a huge success with a lot of participants. There were 115 riders from three states and a large showing from the Mello Velo Cycling Club out of Little Rock. Sixty-five riders covered 62 miles, thirty-two rode 30 miles and eighteen riders traveled 15 miles.
Sponsors included: Union Bank, Molly's, Lumberjack Yamaha, Warren Motor Supply, Massey's, Johnson's Hardware, Robertson's Smokehouse, Arkansas Cycle and Fitness in Little Rock and Clanton Farms. Special thanks is expressed to City of Hermitage, Johnsville Country Store, David Richey with the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA of Warren and Bradley County and the Rural Fire Department.
The event got the 63rd Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival off to a roaring start.
